| P.U.T.Y.C.D is an annual inter-Greek dance competition sponsored by Psi Upsilon, to raise funds and promote awareness for paralysis treatment. Psi Upsilon and Sam Schmidt, a founding member of our chapter Lambda Omega Sigma, are committed to funding research for cures and medical treatment for paralysis. In 2000 Sam sustained a C-3/4/5 spinal injury during a race testing accident for a season-opening Indy Racing League event in Orlando, Florida. While in rehabilitation Sam realized how fortunate his situation was in comparison to others with spinal cord injuries. Upon completing rehab Sam established a foundation to develop cures and effective treatment for paralysis. | |||||||||||||
